Shortcut Folder Virus

I have faced with problem before and its quite frustrating that I can't find a solution to help me with it because I didn't have any back-up for those data affected. The computer detects the data but when the folder is viewed it only has a few kbs of it. Before you delete the folder in fear of it attacking other folders, STOP!!

So how to solve this problem, just follow the steps below. No anti-virus or malware is needed in the process but it is recommended so that no virus can attack your pendrive again.

1. Plug-in your pendrive and remember the location, say (F:). Do not open the pendrive folder.
2. Open "Command Prompt". It should be Start Menu > All Programs > Accesories > Command Prompt.
3. Type these code: attrib -h -r -s /s /d f:\*.*
*note: f is the name of the folder. If the pendrive is located under (G:) then change the letter f in blue into g
4. After typing the code, press enter.
5. Retype the code above thrice (3 times).
6. Try to open the pendrive in the computer and see if the affected folder re-appears. If it doesn't, eject the pendrive then repeat steps 1-6 again.
7. When the affected folder re-appears, you can delete the shortcut folder.

This time I don't have any pictures for you guys to guide you through but I'm sure its easy enough to follow. Try it!

Free Stuff - Cafe World GIDs

Tired of asking from neighbours but they won't approve or you just don't have enough neighbours to ask around? I've had those problems but now my problems are over thanks to cafe gid (gift IDs), a glitch I learnt on the net.

Now, I'm only left with two goals to finish which is the astounding expansion goal 2 and the sushi goal 7. Don't fret even if you only have one neighbour because it will still work.

Just visit the page I have on Cafe World GIDs above or click here LynnasHusna - Cafe World GIDs to learn how to take advantage of this glitch. You can ask absolutely anything as long as it has an ASK button in your goal, even foods too! Goodluck completing your Goals!

Video Stuff - DIY Can Organizer

My mum was looking for a practical rack to design for her kitchen so I searched the net and I found a lot of pictures for storage ideas. The one my mum loved was the one below because it looks so neat.

I also stumbled upon this awesome pantry idea that works which is a can storage bin / can rotating rack / can organizer. You can purchase them here at CanOrganizer which is made out of cardboard and you are required to assemble them yourself since they come in flat packs. On the other hand, if you find them quite expensive you can make it yourself. The great idea of DIY is that you can customize it according to your own shelf and the cans that you buy. Below is an example of the pantry that uses the DIY can organizer; the origin of the DIY idea, The Pantry Panel. The best thing about this is that its based on the "first in first out" (FIFO) basis. So you will never have to worry about cans that are bought earlier but stocked at the back of the shelf making it hard to reach and before you know it, the food is expired.

The original idea came from the grandpa of the blogger The Pantry Panel but since there were some problems for them to post the idea on blogspot, the girls from Food Storage Made Easy was kind enough to post them on their website. You can get the so-called blueprint of the idea here and get the detailed instruction and step-by-step pictures here. So how does the outcome looks like? Enjoy the video below.

UNHIDE Hidden Files due to Virus

I have been putting up with my pendrive that is infected with virus for a long time. It usually happens when I want to print at my university's library. As a result, all of the files that I once used to print especially word documents got infected.

At first I panicked because all of my hard effort was wasted since viruses are known to corrupt or destroy your files and folders. After scanning my pendrive using a normal anti-virus I managed to get rid of the virus. However, the files were still hidden. I did my homework and was determined to know how to solve this problem and with in just a few minutes I managed to do so. Yeay~!! No need for any software that will only clutter your computer. Just simple command.

This is how you do it.

First, for XP, you need to go to any windows explorer (which simply means the window you use to open any files). As shown below, I opened My Computer.

1. Click on Tools and then Folder Options.
2. In Folder Options, click on the View tab.
3. Check the Show hidden files and folders button.
4. Untick/uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (Recommended) button.
Last of all click Apply. Remember to close the Windows Explorer too before follwing the next step below.

Next what you need to do is open command which can be easily accessed at Start then go to Run and in the box type cmd then press Enter. On default, the files displayed is on C: so it is simply a matter of changing the location of your file. In my case, my pendrive located in F: is infected. So below (in red boxes) are the commands that I typed according to sequence.

1. Type the location of your file/folder followed by collon (:). Eg: f: Then press Enter
2. Type exactly as what I've shown here with the small stars, dots and spaces: attrib -s -r -h *.* followed by Enter.

If there are any malicious EXE files those are now visible so if unnecessary delete them too.

If you access is denied due to AUTORUN.INF, follow the third step below:
3. Standby one hand on your flash drive when you are about to press Enter.
Type del autorun.inf (Remember! On pressing Enter, remove your flash drive instantly.) and press Enter.

VOILA~!! That's about it. Then you can stick your flash drive back in and presume your work as normal. If you can't see any changes, that is because you didn't close your Windows Explorer when I told you to. It will just work out fine if you close it then open it back again. Good luck trying guys :)

New FGS Download Link

If you guys have used FGS (Friendly Games Simplifier; originally known as Facebook Games Simplifier), I would like to tell you that now they have updated their version and made it compatible with Mozilla Firefox beta 4 version. However, I have tried beta 4 version on don't like it that much. But you can still download it and give it  try.

The link to download are as follows:

FGS for Google Chrome (version 1.1.0.5)

FGS for Google Chrome (version 1.1.0.5) - if the link above does not work
Another solution: right click any one of the links above and click "save as". The new file will appear fgs-X.X.X.X.crx in your computer. Drag & Drop it into Chrome window and it will install.

FGS for Mozilla Firefox beta 4 - Add-ons Gallery

If you don't know how to install FGS for Google Chrome, click here for my tutorial and this link for tutorial on how to use it. I do not have any tutorials yet for Mozilla Firefox at the moment but will do one when Mozilla has released its stabled version of Firefox.

p/s: I still cannot access to dafonts website for now. Hope the problem will be solved quickly because I love their collection of fonts so much ^_^

I have always liked Mozilla for it's great "Open in New Tab" function because I can always come back to the original source to read for later if the link that I'm going to open is not what I had in mind/wanted and simply close the opened new tab without having to go back one page. However, my laptop's right click button is not working that good. I had to press harder to get it to work and no, I don't like to use the mouse too because I have to find the right surface for it to work.

So what's the solution to the problem? Simply hold down the "Ctrl" button whilst clicking on the link and voila! You've opened the link in a new tab.

Hold down "Ctrl" + click on desired link

Maybe you guys all ready now about this but I just found out about it. -_-'

But I know these functions below by heart and I know that you guys do too ;)

Free Online Speed Reading Software (Spreed)

Another "free" entry for you guys out there~

Sometimes I get frustated when I can't quite master the art of speed reading because my eyes can only scan through the words in an article but isn't able to pick up the words or digest what the article is all about. Well now I've found a solution to the answer. I stumbled upon this website when I was reading one of my all time favourite IsuHangat (I would categorize it under Gossip Blog even though it's not). It's an online speed reading software that is FREE to use.

The link is here. They provide you the basic version where you can just simply copy-paste an article be it online journals, notes or even e-books that you would like to finish quickly.

Just click on the pictures to enlarge.

All you need to do is just:
1- copy-paste the article in the space provided.
2- click on spreed, and then it will take you to the next page

A- Basicly tells you how many words you're reading and at what speed you're reading it.
B- Is the short cut keyboard function that has been set.

So if you're ready to spreed just click on:
1- To play
but if it's going a little bit too fast, just click on:
2- To edit the settings such as font size, font colour, background colour and words per minute.

Under the settings function there's also the advanced settings where you can choose to:
1- slow down on big chunks of word (i.e: encyclopedia)
2- start new chunks at end of sentences and paragraphs
3- slight pause at end of sentences or paragrpahs
4- skip over stopwords which add no additional meaning (i.e: an, the)

By the way, make sure you scan through the artice first to make sure that you're reading the right material before you spreed it so that you won't waste time figuring what the article is all about. Remember, spreeding is used to get the "meat" out of the article.

Happy Spreeding peeps :)

Bonus Collector for Cafe World, Treasure Isle, Frontier Ville, Farm Ville and Mafia Wars (Part III)

Tutorial on how to use FGS

First of all, make sure that you have logged-in to your Facebook account. If you haven't, the FGS icon will have an X right next to it. It looks something like this.

Make sure you have logged-in to your Facebook account.

If you haven't logged-in, there's no harm to it. Just click on the logo and it will direct you to the Facebook log-in page. This is because FGS will need to access all your posts and also your friends post for any bonuses.

REMINDER:  If you don't feel secured about logging-in via FGS link, make sure that you are already logged-in to your Facebook account prior to opening FGS.

Second, click on the FGS button. It is on the upper right hand corner of your Google Chrome.

FGS will open in a new tab as shown below.

Click on each individual game to enable bonus collection from your Facebook as so.

Then tick on the box besides "Game enabled". Do the same for the rest of the game that you play. Then click refresh and wait for it to collect bonuses. This is how FGS will look like after collecting bonuses and requests on walls.

For Frontier Ville, I have one pending request from a friend who needs a measuring tape.

How to receive bonuses or send request

Bonuses/requests are the ones collected from your friends wall. Click on the "Receive all bonuses" button to receive bonuses shown and/or send things requested by friends. A tick will be shown when the request is fulfilled.

Request sent.

How to receive pending gifts

To receive gifts, click on the "Show pending gifts" button in any game you choose just like shown below.

I have one gifts given to me from a kind neighbour.

Click on the receive all gifts to accept gifts.

The gift has been collected.

How to send gifts (only for Frontier Ville and Farm Ville)

You can also send gifts to your neighbours in Frontier Ville and Farm Ville. Sending gifts to other games have not been added yet. So just hope that flies, the developer of FGS will make that option available for all games. Here is how to send gifts:

a) Sending gifts individually

Click on the "Send free gifts" button, then choose the gift that you want to send.

In the neighbours list choose one/few neighbours that you want to send gifts to.

I have selected one recepient.

Click "Send free gifts" button.

Wait for three to five seconds (depending on how many gifts you're sending). When its done, you can see that the persons name on the Neighbours list is gone (as you can only gift once per day).

To see gifts that you have already sent, click the "Show free gifts history" button

Gift sent.

How to send gifts to favourite friends

If you have a list of neighbours of more than 30 friends, you can select a few friends (as there is a quota on how much gifts you can send to per day) to be included in your favourites list. This option enables you to send gifts to them without having to choose everyday. Their names will appear automatically in the favourites list thus sending gifts to them is a breeze. I really love this option as I would love to give gifts to friends who have helped me in sending gifts, bonuses or helped me with my request. Here is how:

Click on the star next to your neighbours name in the Neighbours list and their names will appear in the Favourites send to list.

Friends name included in the favourites send to list.

Click on the "Select favourites" button first before you click on the "Send free gifts". Wait for a few seconds before the list disappear (to show that you've sent them).

There you go. That's just the basic tutorial on how to use FGS. If you need to know more or have any questions regarding this, please don't hesitate to leave me comment(s) and I will try my best to answer them or better, post another tutorial. Happy FGS-ing guys! :)

p/s: I'm not the developer for FGS so if there's any problem with FGS I'm afraid I can't help but I know very well that flies is working hard trying to fix it and improving it. Thus any donations for flies in improving FGS is very much encouraged and welcome :D To donate, click on the donate button on the upper-left hand corner of FGS tab.

Second, go to the Google Chrome extension called Facebook Games Simplifier here and install the extension as shown below.

Click install.

A pop-up will prompt you to install the FGS as shown below:
