Shortcut Folder Virus

I have faced with problem before and its quite frustrating that I can't find a solution to help me with it because I didn't have any back-up for those data affected. The computer detects the data but when the folder is viewed it only has a few kbs of it. Before you delete the folder in fear of it attacking other folders, STOP!!

So how to solve this problem, just follow the steps below. No anti-virus or malware is needed in the process but it is recommended so that no virus can attack your pendrive again.

1. Plug-in your pendrive and remember the location, say (F:). Do not open the pendrive folder.
2. Open "Command Prompt". It should be Start Menu > All Programs > Accesories > Command Prompt.
3. Type these code: attrib -h -r -s /s /d f:\*.*
*note: f is the name of the folder. If the pendrive is located under (G:) then change the letter f in blue into g
4. After typing the code, press enter.
5. Retype the code above thrice (3 times).
6. Try to open the pendrive in the computer and see if the affected folder re-appears. If it doesn't, eject the pendrive then repeat steps 1-6 again.
7. When the affected folder re-appears, you can delete the shortcut folder.

This time I don't have any pictures for you guys to guide you through but I'm sure its easy enough to follow. Try it!
